Aircraft parts maker Global Aerospace Technology Philippines Inc. (GATPHI) signed a supplemental agreement with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) on Oct. 6, 2026 to expand into the First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) in Batangas. The park is an ecozone of more than 500 hectares in Calabarzon, south of Metro Manila.
What GATPHI Will Build In Batangas
The Batangas operation will cover fabrication, machining, injection molding, thermoforming and assembly of aerospace parts. In plain terms, that means cutting and shaping metal, molding plastic parts, forming heated plastic sheets into shape, and putting the finished components together.
The parts are meant for export, mainly to the United States and the United Kingdom. GATPHI is expected to supply Collins Aerospace of the US and Safran Aerospace of France.
The agreement was signed by PEZA Director General Tereso Panga and GATPHI president Jason Carl Tyas. A supplemental agreement adds to the company's existing registration with PEZA, rather than starting a new one from scratch.
The Cavite Plant And The Company'S Background
GATPHI is not new to PEZA. The company first registered with the agency in February 2026 and already runs a plant at the Cavite Technopark Special Economic Zone in Naic, Cavite. That plant also makes drones, unmanned aircraft systems and special-purpose machinery, so the Cavite site covers more than aircraft parts.
The Batangas site would put a second GATPHI facility within the same Calabarzon region, a short distance from Naic.
What Officials And The Company Said
According to the reports, Mr. Panga said the expansion shows growing confidence in the Philippines as a base for advanced manufacturing, especially aviation. He said it should bring skilled jobs, technology transfer, and work for local suppliers and small businesses.
Mr. Tyas said the company will invest in Filipino talent and technology.
What Is Not Yet Known And What Comes Next
No outlet reported the investment amount, the floor area of the new facility or the number of jobs. Without those figures, it is too early to say how large the Batangas plant will be or when construction might start. We have left out any timeline because none was reported.
There is a wider PEZA plan in the background. The agency separately plans aviation-focused aerotropolis ecozones near major airports, working with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines. PEZA also says it has four projects of at least ₱50 billion each in its pipeline. These are separate from the GATPHI deal, but they show the agency is pushing for aviation and advanced manufacturing investment.
What It Means For Batangas And Calabarzon Builders
We do not yet know the size or schedule of GATPHI's Batangas plant, so treat this as an early signal and not a confirmed construction job. Still, a plant that machines and assembles aerospace parts will likely need clean, well-controlled interiors, and contractors who bid on this kind of work will be judged on speed and compliance.
For wall packages, that usually points to three questions: how fast can the walls go up, what fire rating do they carry, and how well do they insulate heat and sound. These are the specs to have ready before a tender opens, not after.
This is where AAC can fit. Blocktec's AAC blocks carry a 4-hour fire resistance rating and a thermal conductivity of about 0.16 W/mK. A trained mason with a helper lays about 10-12 m2 per 8-hour shift, and up to 20 m2 on straight runs. Blocks are laid with thin-bed adhesive and finished with skimcoat, so it is walang palitada, which cuts a wet trade from the schedule. In Blocktec's cost comparison, the wall system showed savings of up to about 21% versus hollow blocks, depending on the project.
Blocktec's products comply with PNS ASTM C1691:2019 and ASTM C1693, and the company holds the DTI-BPS Philippine Standard (PS) Certification Mark, License No. Q-6620. Our Laguna hub in Cabuyao is within reach of Batangas industrial parks, which helps with delivery planning for suppliers and contractors in the area.
If you are a contractor, estimator or developer eyeing industrial work in Calabarzon, it pays to price your wall options early, while the details of this project are still unfolding.
