Pump prices in the Philippines are set for a large rollback next week, based on oil industry estimates reported on November 6, 2026. Gasoline could fall by about P10.20 to P13.50 per liter, which would be the biggest gasoline relief in months. Diesel is expected to drop by P3.50 to P4.50 per liter, and kerosene by about P3.60.
Why The Estimates Differ
Oil industry sources working from four days of Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) trading, Monday to Thursday, estimate that gasoline will fall P12.50 to P13.50 per liter and diesel P4.30 to P4.50. MOPS is the Singapore benchmark that local oil firms use to set pump prices.
An earlier reading that used only three trading days showed smaller cuts: P10.20 for gasoline, P3.50 for diesel and P3.60 for kerosene. The gap comes from which trading days are counted, not from a disagreement about direction. Kerosene was not covered in the four-day estimates, so the P3.60 figure comes from the three-day data only.
What Is Pushing Prices Down
World prices are falling as tension in the Middle East eases and diplomatic efforts to end the US-Iran conflict continue. Earlier declines had been held back by fears of a US strike on Iran. Democratic gains in both the US Senate and House at the midterm elections calmed those fears, even after a US strike on Iran's Qeshm Island.
Jetti Petroleum president Leo Bellas tied the outlook to lower escalation risk after the elections. Supply has also improved: South Korea eased its diesel export limits, and China added fuel export quotas.
The peso helped too. It recovered to about P62 per dollar and closed at P62.97 on November 5. A stronger peso lowers the cost of imported fuel, because oil is bought in dollars.
What Pump Prices Could Look Like
If the top estimates hold, Metro Manila prices could fall to these levels:
- Gasoline RON 91: as low as P65.10 per liter
- Gasoline RON 95: as low as P65.50 per liter
- Gasoline RON 97/100: as low as P70.39 per liter
- Diesel: as low as P84.40 per liter
In practical terms, filling a 50-liter tank could cost up to P675 less for gasoline and up to P225 less for diesel. That is the best case; the smaller estimates would mean smaller savings.
Background And What Happens Next
This cut follows the November 3 adjustment, when gasoline rose P3.50 per liter while diesel fell P1.00. So a good part of last week's gasoline increase would be wiped out and then some.
The relief arrives after a hard stretch. October inflation hit 7.8%, a three-year high driven by fuel and transport costs.
Final figures depend on Friday trading and the exchange rate. Oil firms usually announce final adjustments on the weekend for Tuesday effectivity, but the exact effectivity date for this rollback was not disclosed.
What It Means For Builders
For contractors, diesel matters most. Cheaper diesel trims hauling costs on material deliveries and lowers the cost of running site generator sets. Blocktec ships from hubs in Marikina, Subic and Cabuyao, so lower trucking costs help both suppliers and project budgets after weeks of high fuel. If you are pricing a job now, ask suppliers to confirm whether quotes already reflect the rollback.
Keep in mind that fuel prices swing from week to week, as the November 3 increase showed. A rollback is welcome, but it is smarter to protect your budget with choices that do not depend on pump prices. Labor days are one of the biggest levers. Blocktec's AAC walls are laid with thin-bed adhesive and finished with skimcoat, so there is no thick sand-cement plaster (walang palitada). A trained mason with a helper typically does about 10-12 m2 per 8-hour shift, and up to 20 m2 on straight runs. Fewer days on site means fewer days of fuel, power and supervision.
In Blocktec's own cost comparison, the wall system came out up to about 21% cheaper than hollow blocks, though results depend on the project. Send us your wall area and we will run the numbers for your job.
